Mr. Bob

He said I wasn't annoying or pushy- just persistent. That's what he liked about me...persistence.  Maaaaaaan, you were alright with me.

A message from the Ausfelds:

We want to thank everyone, family, friends, the broadcast community and all of the listeners that have been a part of our fathers life and that will continue his legacy.
With all our love, The Ausfeld Family- Forever Bob Strong"

A Message from the Morrell and Albany Broadcasting Family:

We are all blessed to have known and worked alongside Robert “Bob” Ausfeld.  He was a noble man full of compassion who touched the lives of countless people.

Bob’s epic resume in radio began 42 years ago  and could boast most call letters in the region.  He had unbelievable knowledge of every aspect of Radio-- a vast resource of events, ideas, history, contacts and more, but he always kept a level head. He lived life with such style and grace, possessing a charisma that everyone was naturally drawn to, it was as if he danced through all of lifecharming everyone he met along the way.  Always calm, cool, and collected—the “Bobfather” never flustered.

His door was always open and you could talk to him about anything.  He addressed things with honesty and integrity.  But, Bob really loved cracking witty jokes or throwing a quick wink and a sly grin to ease your nerves.  He could always make you smile-- truly a legend in his own time.
Thankfully the love and grace which Bob lived his life with have also been deeply instilled into his wonderful family.  His gifts live on in: Marion, Corey, Brian, Morgan, and his amazing grandchildren.  Those of us that were fortunate enough to have known him will also carry on his legacy and lessons throughout our lives.   For that the world will be eternally grateful.
"What we have once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us.” — Helen Keller

FLY92.3 and many others stations in the Capital Region will be pausing for a moment of silence Tuesday July 15th at 8am to remember Bob.

Forever Bob Strong
